NMEL Home

New Media & Extended Learning (NMEL) is a unit of UNM's Extended University and is responsible for the administration of online and ITV courses at the University of New Mexico, the implementation and management of UNM's enterprise Learning Management System, and a host of online media and production services.

NMEL has been developing and supporting online learning since 1997. Since that time online course technologies supported by the unit have grown substantially. Our staff are recognized as experts on campus for providing academic technology and instructional support related to online course delivery, as well as web technologies used to supplement traditional face-to-face classes. We offer an integrated array of services designed to meet the diverse technical, administrative, and academic technology needs of students and faculty at New Mexico's flagship institution of higher learning. NMEL's services include:
