NMEL's LMS & Academic Applications/Computiong Group provides a broad range of IT resources for the entire University system. These include web development, streaming media production and hosting for online learning, web and application server administration, computer lab maintenance, and the Learning Management System Blackboard Vista (WebCT) Administration. Blackboard Vista (WebCT) is the world's premier learning management system (LMS). It enables instructor / student interaction across a wide range of web tools, including chat, assignments, discussion, quizzing and discussion groups. NMEL has been managing the WebCT system for UNM Main campus and the branches since 1998, and in that time our user-base has grown from 300 to 24,000+ users.
