Video Capture and Production

NMEL maintains a full Television production studio. We are capable of conducting studio video/audio recording, field video/audio recording, and analog/ digital video editing. For a fee NMEL can help departments or individuals design, film and produce informational, training and/or marketing videos. On-call staff are available to video or audio record activities from general meetings and special events for a nominal cost.

NMEL also provides simple video capture and production services free of charge to support our online course development. We are shooting video for courses in full 16X9 High Definition Video and providing editing, and post production using Adobe Premiere. Final versions can be delivered via NMEL’s Media Tools or made available for Podcast and/or CD/DVD by request.

Service Availability

Video capture and production services for faculty teaching online courses or for departments seeking media production services are available by appointment. Appointment times are limited to staff hours and availability. Once complete, media may be delivered in a variety of ways including live webcasts, podcasts, video on demand, or recorded for distribution via broadcast or DVD. Content  developed for academic courses can be published to a course for secure authorized access to video and / or audio files via WebCT or UNM Learn.
